Slideshow
Here's a slideshow from the entire trip. OK, Youtube disabled the audio on this because the songs are owned by WMG. I completed the dispute form and the audio has been restored.
Er Hu Lesson
On the way out from our lightning tour of the Temple of Heaven, Kristi got a free lesson on how to play the Er Hu. The Er Hu is a two stringed fiddle popular in northern China.
Language Lesson
Earlier in our travels, David was teaching the girls a few words of chinese on the bus ride to Zhouxian. They are practicing in the video.
Cab Driver Gets A Break
We are all home now, bu there is still so much I have not posted yet. One of the highlights of this trip was when Kevin asked if he could drive one of the electric taxis we used getting from the hotel to Living Tree. When he mentioned this, I said all you can do is ask. Next thing we know, Brett is over asking one of the drivers if Kevin could drive the cab. Kevin gets out his U.S. drivers license to show the two drivers Bret was talking with. They just laughed. Then one of the drivers let Kevin sit in the driver seat while he sat in the back. We took pictures. I figured this was as far is it would go, but then the driver was showing Kevin some of the controls. He was going to get to drive. I had to see this. Heather Fran and I jumped in the back of the cab with the driver and Kevin Drove us back to Living Tree from the shopping street we were at He followed the other drivers with the rest of our group as we took the back alley route through town.
